This is a great little hotel and very reasonable. It is clean and beds are very comfortable. The staff working there are pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
Stayed there for work. They let us check in a bit early and were SUPER friendly. Room was super cute and comfortable. Slept like a baby. First choice next time we come through!
We were able to reserve a room (#109) last minute for the long holiday weekend on July 29th, 2022. What we got was the cleanest, nicest room we have ever stayed in! My Wife and I were very pleased. It was the King Executive suite complete with bathrobes, Glass glasses, and dinnerware for 2. Our room was roadside, yet it was very quiet. Other than hearing an Ambulance twice, we heard nothing else. The staff was friendly and courteous.
Wanted to love this place. Downsides: room wasn’t clean enough (hairs in bathroom, furniture with stuff on it). Breakfast was pretty sad (toast, cereal, yogurt, coffee). Noisy AC in the room. Upsides: amazing staff were very friendly. Easy parking. Good location in town and close to everything. Probably wouldn’t stay again for $229/night.
We stayed here in mid September, with 3 couples arriving in town on boats. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. A good location in the downtown area with lots of shops to browse & restaurants nearby and a convenient 10minute walk to the lock. We were very impressed at the honesty of the staff to call us to let us know that we forgot an unopened bottle of wine in our room!! Would definitely recommend staying recommend staying at the Village Inn in Lakefield.
Stayed at the Village Inn on the weekend and it was a great little spot! The staff were super friendly, and the reservation/check-in process was handled well. Good parking available, and centrally located in this beautiful little town. We stayed on the third floor (room 306), and were a bit frustrated with the AC unit. It was an older, window unit with dials to control the settings (no direct temperature setting, just a dial with red/blue gradient). The unit was quite noisy coming on/off, resulting in an interrupted sleep. The pillows were also very uncomfortable (not much stuffing), which also likely contributed to the poor sleep experience. The Inn itself is great. Clean overall, great atmosphere, nice continental breakfast offered, and friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again, but will ask for better pillows, and hope the heat/AC unit in our next room isn't as noisy. Lakefield is a great, quaint little spot, we will be back again soon!!
We stayed at the Village Inn to attend a Wedding in the area. Very clean and comfortable. Charming rooms with comfortable beds. The breakfast was enough for us with coffee, juices, bottled water, breads, sweets and cereals. The staff are amazing and took care of our needs. Lovely place to stay. Friendly staff, nice, comfortable rooms. Coffee was good in the morning. The only suggestion for future stays would be to ask for a room without an adjoining door as the neighbours were a bit loud and you could hear everything through the door.
We have stayed at The Village Inn a couple of times. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the rooms have a charming warmth.The location is perfect and Lakefield is a beautiful town! We will definitely return when we visit Lakefield again. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! Alix & Paul
Stayed here about 8 times. It is always reliable. Rooms are kept clean and updated as well. Spacious and close to all amenities. I will say that I miss the unpretentious pub they used to have on the main floor. It felt like the real deal and was so great hopping out of your room to grab something without leaving the hotel. Staff is always helpful and accommodating. And the impression I am left with is that they are focused on making your stay comfortable.
